Near black in color with a thin lid of light tan bubbles. Very grainy in scent with raw oats, roasted malt, dark chocolate and touch of sorghum. Flavors actually match quite well, unfortunately a bit to much with the grainy aspects. Just an average stout. Way to many of these out there.

Sampler at brewpub. Dark dark brown. Aroma of chocolate, roast, molasses, oats. Nice flavor, a bit of a bite at the end.

On tap at the Delafield Brew Pub. Poured a dark black color with a smaller sized tan head. Aromas of oats, chocolate, roasty, and vanilla. Tastes of oats, chocolate, a little earthy, and roast.

On tap at Delafield Brewhaus. Poured deeper brown with a short-ish cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sweet oats and semi-sweet chocolates along with lots of roasty, non-descript black malts.. pleasant enough, but not too exciting. The flavor had moderately-roasted molasses, black patent, and lesser chocolate with flaked oat sweetness especially around the edges.. finished roasty and sweet.. OK. About medium-bodied with too little carbonation.. bitter highlights, but smooth overall.. just a decent one.
