blankboy (2687), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 14, 2005 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry. Retired eh? Well I’m glad I found a bottle of this then as it was quite a nice surprise. Pours a slightly bubbly clear blonde with an average size white head. Aroma is really fruity and cider-like along with some alcohol, malt and yeast -- it’s quite impressive actually. The flavour which follows the aroma and adds wheat and spices to the mix isn’t quite on the same level -- though that’s not to say that it wasn’t still very good. Medium body with low carbonation. I was happy to be able to try this, it was original and enjoyable -- hopefully I can score a few more one day. rederic (1513), montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 10, 2005 Hazy yellow hue, with a foamy white head, with a yeasty, spicy, fruity, juicy, floral bouquet of jasmine, and coriander aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a flowery, fruity, pineapple, mango, spicy maybe hint of ginger, orange juice accent, flowery, peachy, with a very nice sweet finish. Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 23, 2005 Ugly as sin - dull blonde colour with lots of haze. Dusty, slightly spicy yeast aroma. The flavour is very estery, with a distinctively peachy yeast note. Sublte spice and fairly firm underlying maltiness, plus dusty yeast. Sweet. Comes across like a fairly unique free interpretation of a tripel. OKBeer (1106), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Jan 8, 2006 341 ml bottle courtesy Siroy. Golden yellow colour with a fizzy and creamy white head. Caramel, yeasty, citrus, and spicy (clove) aroma. Similar flavour profile with a dry finish. Light to medium bodied, fizzy, creamy, and dry mouthfeel. GregClow (2369), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 17, 2006 Bottle. I believe that this was given to me as a birthday gift back in January by HogTownHarry and/or blankboy, but I just rediscovered it today in the back corner of my "beer cellar" (a.k.a. a couple of cardboard boxes in my storage closet) where it has been sitting half-forgotten since I moved back in March. Pours a very cloudy golden colour with a large white head that reduced fairly quickly, but remained in a smaller form for most of the time I spent drinking it. Aroma is yeasty and tart, with a bit of funkiness. Body is fairly light, and quite refreshing for such a strong beer. Flavour follows pretty closely on the aroma, although it’s a touch sweeter than the nose suggests. Pretty nice stuff - belated thanks, guys!
