Oct 25, 2008 On tap at the porter beer bar. Poured a reddish brown color with a decent off white head. Nice wild belgian yeast aroma with some straw and a little bit of fruit. Pretty sweet finish and a nice red fruit flavor with some cherry and plum mixed in there as well. Pretty decent drink but nothing incredible to make this one truly memorable.

Oct 20, 2008 Lots of head on this beer. As soon as I popped the top, the off white head was at the top and slowly building out of the bottle. It had a light fruity taste and aroma. The alcohol content was very noticeable in the taste. It has a sweeter taste than the Tremens.

Oct 19, 2008 Poured a frothy tan head which lasted well. Dark reddish brown body. Light smell of balsamic vinegar and dark fruit, not overly complex. Tasted of dark fruit, burnt sugar, tar and black licorice. Didnt hide the alcohol enough for me. Medium palate with a slight chalky feel. Almost felt like a porter in the aftertaste and palate.

Oct 15, 2008 Deep brown pour with red highlights and a foamy head that fades slowly. Lots of fruit in the aroma, mostly raisins and plums with some overripe cherries and banana. Sweet malty flavor with the fruit coming through strong again. Smooth on the palate. A bit of alcohol on the finish. Pretty tasty!

Oct 9, 2008 Bottle from Market Street in Allen, TX. Aroma of some dark fruit, spice, faint alcohol. Flavor has some dark fruit, faint licorish, Brett, farmhouse, alcohol, almond, fairly complex. Mouthfeel is light-medium body, champaign like fizzy, high carbonation. Very good beer....

Oct 4, 2008 Small, crimped cap bottle. Pours very dark red-brown, nearly opaque, with a medium head. Aroma is somewhat subdued, one-dimensionally sweet, dark fruits, mostly raisin. Flavor is much better, surprisingly dry, perhaps apple. Some malty sweetness again, pretty nicely rounded. Bananas? Quite tasty. Palate is crisp and dry, with a short finish that fades away to a nice hint of bitterness.

Oct 3, 2008 330 ml mock "stoneware" glass bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.5%. Chestnut coloured beer with a big and lasting tan head. Lovely aroma of various fruits and spices, hints of farmhouse kitchen and red wine vinegar. The flavour is malty with moderate notes of dried fruits and spices. Nice one.
