| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 21, 2007 Draught at Delirium Café, Brussels - came very dark, cloudy brown with a thick tan head on top. Aroma very sweetly malty and yeasty, brown sugar, dark fruit. Flavour is of cherries and other fruit along with typical Belgian yeastiness and a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Fairly typical and not mind blowing...flavour is a little bit mild and simple overall. Not as great as the more popular Delirium Tremens. PilsnerPeter (2665), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 19, 2007 Bottle: Deep cloudy burgundy pour, with visible floaties, and a dense tan head. Sweet Belgian malt aroma. Has some brown sugar, fig and raisin hints, and is also somewhat boozy. Creamy carbonation. Roasted flavors upfront, followed by an apparent boozy/alcohol flavor. There’s some faint sweet fruits, with brown sugar and more roast & alcohol toward the finish. A straight forward and simple Belgian Strong Ale. Grovlam (3810), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 18, 2007 Bottle. Large thick and beige head that mostly lasted. Excellent lacework. Cloudy amber color. Aroma of yeast, mix of fruit with apricot as the dominant note. Light citrus and some caramel and pilsner malt in top of that. Over the palate light toasted malt and warming alcoholic feel. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with light acidic and a sharp bitter feel, maybe from the alcohol. Sweet and fruity warming finish with a lingering end.
