Jul 12, 2007 I keep buying it, drinking it, and remembering that I don’t like it. Too syrupy. Makes me want to stop drinking and go to sleep. Maybe that is where they get the name. If it wasn’t in a fancy botle with cool psychadelic art I don’t think it would even be considered on a "good" beer list.

Jul 7, 2007 hmm...not brown / red as people say. Tap, cloudy, pale yellow. Skunky, dry banana, strong yeast aroma. Sour, sweet, ...not great. tastes like lots of stuff I don’t like. black licorish....citricy, acidic. A little bubblegum. weird.

Jul 2, 2007 Pours a brown/red murky color with huge head. Aroma is malts and alcohol. Interesting taste. I taste alcohol, tobbacco and apricots- or some fruit along that line. Strong, but pleasant alcohol flavor. Kind of like eating, smoking, and drinking all at once. A very drinkable ale; not my favorite, but definatly worth trying.

Jun 28, 2007 (bottle into a duvel tulip) Aroma of sweet malts, ethanol and apricots. Pours a cloudy mahogany with dirty white head. Fizzy with a shallow finish. Notes of ethanol and sugar cookies. Not too shabby.

The taste is malty, you can taste the alcohol, it’s like a party of flavor in my mouth, great.

Jun 25, 2007 Reddish, brown colour with a dense beige head. Spicy and fruity aroma with sweet malty notes. Malty, sweet flavor with spicy and fruity notes and an alcohol sweet finish. Too carbonated.

Jun 18, 2007 Sampled from 750ml bottle. Hazy with a maple brown hue. Thick beige head. Cookie yeasty nose. Lively and sweet. Pruney notes with a nice bready flavor. Notes of toffee. Nice effervescence. Off dry palate. Cinnamon and spices. Sugary long finish. Good staple.
