| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 24, 2007 330 ml bottle (notched at 1 of 5, and 5 of 8; maybe bottled Jan 05?). Dark brown with red tinges. Huge light-brown sugar, lasting head with excellent lace. Lots of ?yeast? chunks floating around. Aroma is hopped Bacardi and Coke with a caramel sour apple on the side. Taste is dry, some candi sugar at the start and toffee in the aftertaste, with some slight acidic and sour notes in the middle and afterwards. Very light mouthfeel. Good Belgian, but with every other taste something seems missing. Note: Bottle says 8.5% ABV instead of the 9% indicated. SHIG (2046), Aviano, Italy

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Mar 17, 2007 Beautiful rich brown color with a thick and persistent head. Aroma is distinctive and has a hint of alcohol in it. This beer has a strong flavor and quite a nip to it, but it is still smooth and pleasant on the tongue, with a smoky undertone. This is a beer to be sipped, not guzzled. starfireming (309), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 15, 2007 Pours dark ruby color with nice 2 finger head. No lacing. Smell is yeast and dark fruit. Taste is a nice dark fruit with lots of yeast and a hint of carmel. Finishes with dry woody hops. Slight alcohol burn at lower temperatures goes away with some warming. Perfect compliment to a pot roast. Recommended. muenster (341), Sevierville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Bottle. Pours mahogony with lots of floaties and a tall bubbly head. Aroma is vinous, lots of sour flemish-esque notes as well, some sweet candied raisin notes finish it out. The flavor is complex as well, almost just like the aroma would lead you to belive, with a very warm alcohol finish. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 10, 2007 Very very similar to the tremmens but with a darker color and only slightly deeper flavor. Definitely worth having a bottle. norushjohnnie (19), Sister Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 10, 2007 Not my favorite style but very good.
Color is deep reddish amber with a big brown-orange head. Aroma is primarily raisins and alcohol, big and strong. Flavors raisin, plum, and a hint of burnt malts at the finish. Interesting acidity, not what I’m used to. Bitterness and alcohol warmth finish it up. The mouth feel is a little bit watery but I felt the carbonation was ideal.
