That is not to say this isn’t a sweet beer, it’s quite far from dry. However, the sweetness is mild and a little corn syrupy. Flavor also has apple, plum and a hint of grass. Palate was delightful, smooth and silky but somewhat light. Overall, a solid beer, but probably won’t have many more of these.

Taste is interesting...fruity and tart. Notes of dark chocolate, tart cherry, and cough syrup. All the tartness is laid down on top of a sweet malt base. Actually reminds me a bit of a flemish sour ale only has a far fuller body. This was definitely different. Good but for me, not great. tommeagher (26), Jersey City, New Jersey, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 30, 2009 Light spiced aroma, too much smoke in the air to really. Deep brown/amber with off white head. A bit of a burnt malt bitterness. I remember this being much better than this one was.

Should there be chunks in my beer?? There in fact should be it’s just yeast and we like yeast! Delirium is decent Belgian ale with an earthy aroma, a thin palate and a somewhat coppery taste to it. Don’t worry about the yeast. To me I would say this is a middle of the road ale in a really cool bottle! Niko100 (162), New York, USA
