trevor211 (158), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 13, 2008 Pours a burnt caramel with a classic Belgian head. Very sweet aroma - caramel and sugary fruits. The taste is lighter than the aroma, but definitely still sweet. There’s even a bit of tartness in there. I want a Belgian with this dark of a color to pack a punch, and this one seems to take darker flavors and weaken them to the point of being a lighter beer - it drinks like a soda. It’s very decent, but lacking in complexity I’ve come to expect from a good strong Belgian.
astrofrk (95), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Dec 1, 2008 Dark amber. Long, creamy head. Aroma: Fruits, yeast, spice. Flavor: Same with alcahol warming. Sweet finish. cb23 (84), St. louis, Missouri, USA Dec 1, 2008 Bottle. Very interesting beer. The nose smelled like banana and raisins. Some notes of strawberry and vanilla maybe. Tasted much of the same with a lot of malt sweetness. Rounded out by a very mild hop finish. A bit yeasty at the end too. My first brew from Delerium, hope to try more. A good Belgian. CaryTheDude (489), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Nov 29, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Easy drinking. Looks like some Coca-cola in the pour. Fizzy as hell. Kinda detracts from the flavor, which is very nice, and mellows out nice and sweet in the finish. Pretty good. Chrism86 (115), Melbourne, Australia Nov 29, 2008 Pours slightly hazy red/brown with a decent off white head. Aromas of caramel, chocolate and some dark fruit. Palate is malty with underlying raisin and clove characters. Finish brings alcohol and yeast driven spice that serves to balance the caramel malt. keepersj12 (463), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Nov 27, 2008 Great label. Beer pours cloudy dark brown with a nice foamy head. Typical aroma and flavor Nice finish. Good stuff.
