Dec 18, 2008 This beer pours the color of dried apricots with a very light head. It smells of malts, fruit and spice. The flavor is malty with hints of spices, cloves and maybe some egg. The beer explodes a bit when it hits the mout hand the carbination takes off. This is a pretty good holiday beer.

Dec 18, 2008 On tap at Trappeze. Poured amber brown with a slight head. Aroma of spice, malt, fruit, sugar. Spices included clove and cinnamon. Taste was well balanced between sugar sweetness, spice, fruit, caramel malt. Body is nice and full with plenty of carbonation. Very easy drinking. Overall, a very enjoyable brew.

Dec 17, 2008 On tap, winter sampling at Acadia. Poured a rich yellow color. Rich, sweet banana smell with a little noticable alcohol odor. Very slick mouthfeel, sweet and malty flavor with a warming finish. An easy drinker that I will revisit again.

Dec 17, 2008 Initital metallic taste followed by a high-quality spicy ale like only the Belgians can do. Nice alcohol burn for those who dig it. This stuff is on par with Bernardus 8.

Dec 16, 2008 On tap at the Happy Gnome. Pours a nice amber color. The nose is rather spicy; cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of cloves. Wonderful mouth feel with moderate carbonation, With a nice warming finish to holiday spice.

Deep red, thin head. Apple and spicy pie aroma. Slightly gluey taste, and obviously packing a punch. Decent hoppiness, but cannot punch through the alcohol and glue. However, it is still very tempting. Very strong pear esters towards the end. Prefer the ordinary Tremens.

Nice fruity aroma. Winey aroma when poured, later spicy and a bit pie-ey, even cakelike, also. Smooth palate. Sweet toffee. Cakey, spicy, and fruity, with a hint of almond and woodiness in the finish. Quite a hoppy finish, actually..
