malrubius (969), Valley Stream, New York, USA Jan 28, 2008 11.2 ounce bottle in Westmalle goblet. Hazy brown with lasting flat tan head. Brown sugar, anise, and raisin wine aroma with slight alcohol evap. Caramel and brown sugar sweetness, nice round fruitiness, raisins and ripe cherries, very mild tobacco and spice finish. Medium body and medium low carbo. This is a damn fine beer. I was somewhat skeptical, I admit. I think this is very tasty and pleasant and, of course, strong. larsga (2937), Oslo, Norway Jan 26, 2008 Big yellowish beige head. Deep brownish body with small particles. Intense alcoholic aroma of wood, bread, dried fruit, pepper, and faintly metallic hops. Sharp licorice and chocolatey bread and fruit taste with dark wooden notes. Peppery, clean mouthfeel. Harmonic and complex. Considerable alcohol heat. Dry licorice and soft metal afteraste with roasty notes. Very nice. (0.75l bottle from the wine monopoly.) mmmbeer (737), Austin, Texas, USA Jan 25, 2008 11.2 oz bottle poured into tulip- poured medium brownish amber, white head quickly dissolved away, medium carbonation. Aroma of yeast with some spices, all of which are very light. Hits the mouth with a medium body, alot of sweetness from fruit on the tongue, finish with a note of alcohol and collapses. I kinda like it, it’s right down the middle on this one for me. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Jan 24, 2008 pours a chestnut brown with quickly dissipating head, some fruit on the nose and some bite on the aftertaste, very nice kusken (7), Fredericia, Denmark does not count Jan 24, 2008 Delirium Noël, is the best cristmas beer i have tasted, and one of favorites in general.
The best thing to doo with this beer is to save it for at least two years. ReademNwheat (174), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 21, 2008 From a bottle. Pours a hazy golden color. Aroma of dark fruits, alcohol, and some yeast. Taste is sort of wine like due to the dark fruits. notes of caramel and spice. TikiE (360), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jan 20, 2008 Whoa is the first thing I thought when I had this beer. It pours a dark golden brown with a nice head that eventually disappears. You can taste lots of malts and alcohol in this beer. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Jan 17, 2008 Light brown pour with a small off-white head. Spicy nose and a wonderfully rich dark peppery flavor. Thick mouthfeel and a warm, alcoholic finish. Very nice.
