It pours a dark golden brown with a nice head that eventually disappears. You can taste lots of malts and alcohol in this beer. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 13, 2008 Small bottle. Pours a hazy light chesnut brown with not much head. Aroma of alcohol and spices. Tastes very sweet, with rich fruit cake flavours. The mouthfeel is coating but not cloying and pretty light given the strength. I was rather underwhelmed to be frank - perhaps a bigger bottle and a couple of years aging would make a big difference. Defreni (999), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 11, 2008 Flaske. Udemærket Belgisk ale, mørk ravfarvet med et lille skum hoved, sød og en anelse krydret. Alkoholen er mærkbar men ikke særlig varm. Udemærket øl og så er det vidst sagt.
