jason (1620), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 27, 2007 Draft at Which Brew. Cloudy red brown body with thin head. Aroma is light fruits, yeast, spices. Spices were present in the flavor and at times dominated the taste. Light yeast and earthy notes noticable too. AR (417), Georgia, USA Dec 26, 2007 This beer had a high-alcohol aroma and contained a lot of visible sediment. It had a hearty mouthfeel with a tart kumquat flavor. I drank this on Christmas eve, sipping it with my wife after the stockings were hung by the chimney with care. Used a stemmed, 6-ounce etched glass with a gold rim. Perfect for the occasion. bgburdman9 (822), Columbus, Ohio, USA Dec 25, 2007 I am never really impressed by the delirium stuff but this one was actually pretty good. It had a nice belgian yeastiness to it with a little spiciness to it. Very flavorful and easy to drink. Alcohol wasnt all that noticable til the end. tank56 (1), USA does not count Dec 25, 2007 march 2006 bottle, 750 ml.
brilliant color with nice carbonation that isn’t overpowering. very fruit forward aroma. taste very much mirrors nose. nice hop, subtle spice. perfect holiday ale. its making this quiet christmas day one worth remembering. theisti (1640), Leawood, Kansas, USA Dec 25, 2007 750 ml. bottle from my in laws (I believe they purchased at World Market), enjoyed Christmas eve. This bottle was from March, 2006. Pour is brown-copper-ruby-orange with a one 1/2 inch tan head. Aroma of Belgian yeastiness and holiday spices. Taste mirrors the nose quite closely, though is far more carbonated than it appeared. Carbonation made this very soft, and really nice with the roast dinner. I really enjoyed this one. bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA Dec 25, 2007 March 2006 bottle. Vinous, ripened fruit aroma. Dark amber color with a orange-beige head that did not stay, though it laced lightly while departing. Medium in body with very smooth carbonation. The flavor is something of overripe plum accompanied by sweet malt and mild spice. Heat is noticeable on the way to the finish, and it ends a bit dryish with arguably floral hop. It’s very sippable. Might be a counterpart to an American barleywine. Acknud (770), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA Dec 25, 2007 Not for me. Too sickly sweet and cloying. I don’t know what I expected but this wasn’t it. Padron4KM (400), Chandler, Arizona, USA Dec 25, 2007 Poured this on Christmas Eve while performing my "Santa" duties for my daughter and nephew.
Hazy amber, large tan head and sticky lace.
