douglas88 (1557), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Dec 24, 2007 Updated: Mar 29, 2008Bottle. Pours a nice amber/red color. I am not sure why, but there is a ton of particulates in this beer. Cherries maybe? The aroma is sweet candy canes and cherry. The taste is sweet cherries, apple, spices, some alcohol warmth and a bit of hops. Not bad at all. Merry Christmas. leninthedesert (112), Nevada, USA Dec 23, 2007 Clean amber brown pour with a thin head. Aroma - citrus, malt and yeast. Fruit palate with a mild alcohol singe. Great winter pour! alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 23, 2007 Christmas! A great time for winter beers. Pours brown with a tan head. Nose of fruit, malts, and some hops. Taste of spice, vanilla, malts, and alcohol. Hot edge takes away from the complexity of this beer. tarjei (1741), Bryne, Norway Dec 23, 2007 750 ml bottle. Amber/brown color. Big off-white head. Sweet, malty and fruity, hops and a bitter ending with a strange aftertaste. Pastor (509), Maine, USA Dec 22, 2007 Bottle poured cranberry red with a large billowy white head. Aromas of malt, sweet caramel, and raisins fill the nose. The palate is creamy and the carbonation is good Flavors of sweet malt and Belgian spices fill my mouth with a nice peppery finish Great bottle art and this thing hides the alcohol well what more could ask for in a Christmas offering clueo (112), Pennsylvania, USA Dec 22, 2007 Great aroma and a nice pour with a small head. A nice milky appearance. The flavor is malty with a nice smooth finish. A very enjoyable Belgian seasonal! PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA Dec 22, 2007 Bottle: Pours a deep rusty color with a fading, fizzy tan head. Soft and sweet fruity aroma. Plummy, raisiny and with a big alcohol presence. There’s also a mild herbal note peeking through. Flavor has an apparent alcohol bite. Peppery ethanol, and sweet Belgian malts. Has some sweet raisin notes as well, but that’s about it. Simple and alcohol dominated. A bit of a let down. Frauditor (148), Hagerstown, Maryland, USA Dec 21, 2007 11.2 oz bottle. boy would I like to do a vertical tasting with this one and the stille nacht. poured little to zero head with varying size bubbles in the foam.
