Good, a unique beer. Flavor is fruity and complex with some spices as well. Lightly carbonated and highly drinkable. The finish tastes like a cigarette, very strange.

Pours a ark blush color with a foamy head that dissipates into a lacing that lasts. Aroma consists mostly of cherries, honey and alcohol. Smooth creamy cherry taste with a decent alcohol presence and slight peppery finish.

The pour is dark copper with a small tan head. The nose dark fruits, spices and candy sugar and a hint of alcohol. The flavor is sweet at first pleasant on the palate and finishes with nice warming from spices and alcohol. Good seasonal beer.

This beer wasn’t the easiest thing in the world to drink, due to its spirit-like nature, but it was still pretty good. I’d have it again. This beer poured a brilliant tan color with a medium amount of head. Aroma was ethyl butyrate (cotton candy/bubble gum) and a surprising oak flavor. Flavor was pretty complex. At first I thought it was cognac-like with lots of alcohol. Later I got a smokey, leathery, peatiness that I’ve gotten from some single-malt scotches (my dad’s into scotch; I’m into beer). Mouthfeel was astringent and drying, most likely due to the pronounced alcohol presence. I felt warm when drinking it, but at the same time I felt it a bit challenging to drink...much like I feel about the scotch my dad is always trying to get me excited about. I’d recommend this beer, despite its challenges.

Pours a darker amber color with a light tan head. Aroma is of plums, spices, candied sugar, and a little bit of some alcohol. Flavor is sweet up front with the candied sugar, plums, cherry, and caramel malts. A little bit of spices on the finish with a little alcohol warming. A wonderful brew that I’ll look forward to having again next year.

0.33 l bottle at Angleterre, Helsinki. Reddish amber with small head. Nose is candy like sweetness with some cherries and marzipan. Flavor is strongly sweet with marzipan and some cherry again. A bit boozy and metallic. It’s got some Dr. Pepper in there. Quite strange overall, yet not bad.

11.2 oz bottle. nose is cherry, spice, and candy canes (those colored ones that taste fruity) . Taste was same but a bit over the top.. I wasn’t impressed. This could be biased bc it was comsumed out of a solo cup in between drinking a different strong ale.

body is amber topped with very little head. Light malty aroma and a taste of malt and cat urine (at least how cat urine smells). Jose pistolas philadelphia $9 12 oz. Tulip.
