Capa (955), Yokosuka, Japan Aug 29, 2007 Labled as "Delirium Christmas," though I believe it’s the same beer. Hazy, brick red in color with a large, off-white head. Aroma is very nice. Sweet, spicey, caramel, fruit, coriander, and citrus. Medium body, watch out for the sediment. Malty, spices, yeast, fruits, and alcohol. Finishes with a nice bite, and noticeable alcohol. Exceptional. drfabulous (1212), Columbia, Missouri, USA Aug 19, 2007 The only thing X-Mas is good for is X-Mas beer. This sweet, malty, spiced beer is one of the best. Perfect when you live up north and don’t celebrate the Christian feast, but want to dig the beers. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 8, 2007 Bottle 75cl. Large thick and off-white head that mostly lasted. Hazy amber color. Aroma of Christmas spice, coriander, caramel, fruit, yeast and maybe a hint of citrus like notes as well. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and light alcoholic texture. Balanced sweet malty flavor with light bitter and maybe a hint of acidic notes. Very nice and somewhat Christmas spicy lingering finish. SDalkoholic (1186), Chula Vista, California, USA Aug 7, 2007 Purchased @ Ashur Liquor down in the Imperial zona. 750 ml bottle consumed August 2007. I was surprised to see this none the lease since I had never seen it before. I assume this has had some shelf life aged on it but to not to bad because of painted bottle. Anyways, the ale sits gently in the glass as a burnt red with plenty of sediment floating. The head is a lively thick topping at first but will diminish to a naked liquid. Aroma has a big malt profile with strong presence of authentic yeast. The flavor has started to go flat a bit but it will also hold a nice spice and heat. mkofron (155), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Jul 25, 2007 Ruby with offwhite head with loads of sediment. Sweet fruity aroma. Mildly sweet fruits, spice, detectable alcohol. thenick (742), North Bellmore, New York, USA Jul 17, 2007 Tap @ House of Brews, NYC (December 2006). Pours a nice deep ruby color with a lacy white head. Aroma is spices such as coriander and cinnamon, along with some malt and candy sugar. Taste is highly spicy, and the flavors become increasingly complex as you savor the beer. A wonderful, wonderful Belgian Christmas ale.
