| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 2, 2007 The 11.2oz bottle poured a clear copper color with thin layer of off white foam. The aroma is a bit light with a medley of fruit such as cherries, dates and raisins along with some spice and hints of alcohol. The flavor follows the aroma somewhat with up front fruitiness from raisins and cherries. Beyond midway a more tart fruit note surfaces tasting like apple and grapes. The flavor is rounded out with the help of coriander spice and pepper. GaltScat (195), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 1, 2007 25 ounce bottle from 2005. Amber with giant white head. Aroma of yeast, malt, fruit, and spice. Taste was similar to any good Belgian Strong Ale with added, nicely mixed spice. Alcohol is present on the palate but not overwhelming. Some bitterness and spice on the finish and warmth on the way down the gullet. Delirium Noel is rather mellow and smooth for a Belgian Strong Ale and it is very nicely completed. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 27, 2007 Bottle: Amber body, with limited head. Aroma was a combination of tart and sour that strongly reminded me of apple cider, with slight graham cracker and cherry notes in the aroma. Grape-sweetness at fist, then black current and cream mixes in with a sour-maltyness. Good complexity so far. Then I swallowed, and it all seemed to go to hell. The taste reminded me somewhat of bile, which is a very easy way to ruin a good drinking experience. I hope that was just a bad bottle.
