Since it had been a while since I had had Tremens or Nocturnum I really can’t tell you if they were similar in taste, but it sure did remind me a bunch of memories of having them. Great holiday beer, very spicy, and had less of an alcoholic taste then I would have expected considering the high alcohol content. AmazonMatt (284), Panama

Aroma is spiced banana bread, as is the taste. A bot of malt, novices might say that it was too sweet, but I loved it. Citruses, low carbonation, and some cinnamon and clove spice. Great. Thanks Dad for bringing this down from Cleveland. Bartzilla (443), San Diego, California, USA

Easily the best holiday beer seeing that they’re not concerned with how many spices they can cram in there. If I want nutmeg, I’ll drink egg nog. if I want a solid, matly, holiday belgian ale, then I’ll drink this stuff. ebarnes (213), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA

Awesome label with the pink elephant wearing a santa hat. The aroma is full of fruits, figs, and Belgian sweetness. Tastes of plums, prunes, peaches, and some spices. The alcohol is noticable and warming. A smokiness lingers. A great winter warmer. MacDaddyOJake (274), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Nice reddish brown body with a small white head. Aroma of citrus and apple juice, somewhat like wine. Slightly sweet, faint detection of alcohol. Warms as it goes down, all you need is one sip to be sure that this one will get the job done. A pleasant surprise to say the least. I would definitely get this one again next winter.
