Hazy tan/brown color with a decent light tan head. Flavor of fruits and spices - very festive. Palate was a little fizzy. Overall a good, atypical seasonal. thewolf (5721), Kolding, Denmark

Pours deliciously dark burgundy with first a fizzy head that settles as a ½ cm off-white cream on top. Stunning aroma - berries, coriander, yeast and sweetness. Much fuller than you’d expect. Flavours begind sweet with heavy malty tones - quite musty. Then the fruityness prevails ending with subtle bitterness (in a toffee way) with an alcoholic tone at the end. zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2006 Big beer aroma - stewed fruity, candied, brown sugar, a bit musty, alcohol. Fun label, faux-crockery bottle, red foil covered cork-n-cradle, mostly clear medium brown beer, thin head earn good appearance marks. Too tart. Spicy and warming, woody bittering, not too sweet, vanilla. Tart-bitter finish with some candied/caramelized aftertastes. Technically good, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I was hoping. smartlung (154), Valrico, Florida, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 30, 2006 from Total Wine - thin dark head, spicy with coriander, full with malty body and cant put my finger on all the other spices, finishes very smooth with lite alcohol but you feel the warmth. Most enjoyable and my 3 brothers enjoyed this the most of all beers tried so far.

Sour aroma; lemon mixed with noble hops that predicts a dry drink. Pours a clear dark amber, effervescent wit a lasting white foam. Sweet and sour beer: smooth, sweet, nutty, toasty grainbill with lemony noble hops. The sourness is in harmony with the sweetness and gentle bittering. Full body, high carbonation, warming. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 26, 2006 Bottle at ØLbaren - shared with Bager. Clear deep red - white head. Fruity, licorice, high sweetness, spicy, too high carbonation - kills some flavors. Not complex enough. mabjork (580), Vasa, Finland
