Aroma of yeast and sweet fruits like bannana, apples, and bubblegum. Flavor is a bit sour. While there were bubbles in the glass, palate feels flat and a bit watery. The price of $10 also hurts the overall score. First impression: 7/3/5/3/9=2.7<P>Looking below at other raters, xproudfoot suggests letting it ’warm up’. OK, after 1/2 glass with the above rating, I did that. Let it sit for a while. Aroma now has a cherry aspect. Palate a bit more lively, flavor still a bit sour with a bitter finish. Was really hoping for more out of this one. Bumping overall to a 12, but still won’t be drinking this ’un again. anders37 (4607), Malmö, Sweden

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2006 (2004 Version) This beer offers an aroma consisting of wheat, yeast, and a tangerine citrus smell. This beer sits in the glass as a copper solution with a thick butterscotch colored head. This beer greets the palate in a moderately thick manner producing the taste of yeast, wheat, and mild nuts. It fades smoothly leaving a mild nutty aftertaste lingering. gunnfryd (3573), Kristiansand, Norway

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2005 Pours a very hazy amber/brown with a thick two finger head that slowly recedes to a nice cap that leaves behind sheets of lacing.
Smell; when I first opened the bottle the smell was almost wine like. after I poured it, that winey smell went away. There’s lots of fruits. ripe plums and bananas, caramel apples, as well as cloves. There’s also a bit of alcohol presence in the nose.
Taste; really nice ripe plums, a good bit of banana flavor stands out along with a bit of sweet caramel maltiness, and some alcohol bite in the finish. It has the nice yeasty and spiced smells that I’ve come to expect in Belgian style beers. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth, with nice carbonation.
