RSRIZZO (1336), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jan 12, 2009 Color is a golden orange with sediment floating around. Carbonation is low producing a very thin head. Aroma of toasted caramel with back tones of fruit. Taste is sweet and fruity. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth with just a faint crispness. Finish comes in sweet with dried fruit a hint of banana and a touch of citrus. In the after taste a nice yeast flavor comes in followed by a bit of alcohol. Overall its a nice Winter brew with good Belgian yeast fruit flavors. DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jan 11, 2009 Pours an orange amber witha short white head. Amazing aroma of grape jelly and raisins. Very spritzy, highly carbonated mouth-feel. The flavor is semi sweet plum or grape jelly with a classic bready Belgian body. Lots of layered spices in the flavor as well. No hints of the ABV. Very smooth winter brew. TaxiDriver (908), Stadland, Germany Jan 11, 2009 Bottle. A somehow creamy aroma - some spices, vanilla, a little bit of yeast and sparkling wine, also some fruits. The head is medium strong, creamy-foamy and light brown-grey, medium duration. The body is in a dark red to brown. The taste is quite bitter, later on it gets a little bit sweeter. A long duration. Tasted a little bit like champagne with some fruits. The body is creamy and sparkling with a lot of carbonation, medium strong. FishManLA (284), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Jan 10, 2009 Pours a rust red color with a smallish off white head. Fruity sweet nose with floral notes laced in. Taste is fruity/sweet with notes of pear apple and prunes. Alcohol is also clearly apparent in the taste. Syrupy mouth feel. As the finish approaches a hop bitterness begins to emerge and that finish consists of the hop bitterness mingled with the lingering fruit tastes. Good balance all the way through. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA Jan 10, 2009 The look is red in color with a decent off white head. Smell is tart, yeast, fruit, sugar, and spices. Taste is yeast, tart, spiced, and fruits. rustychiles (997), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jan 10, 2009 Bottle courtesy of my wife. She couldn’t resist the bottle with the "cute" pink elephants. Pours into my Delirium goblet with a nice hazy brownish color with a red tinge and a foamy off white head. Aroma is belgian yests, candi sugar, fruits, spices. Flavor is yeast, fruits, candi sugars, spices a little bitterness. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. elihapa (1033), Honolulu, California, USA Jan 9, 2009 1/5/09 notes: on tap, Wurstkuche. Pours dark red-brown with a medium sized head. Aroma of soft malt, spices and dark fruit. Flavor starts soft, then reveals spicy, woody notes supported by a smooth mouthfeel. Overall, great palate, decent flavor, but lacks the extra something that is a pre-requisite for superior Belgians. hayduke (1618), Eureka, California, USA Jan 6, 2009 From a 750 ml white bottle poured hazy light brown with off-white head and good lacing. Nose of yeast, fruit, and spices. Nice smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is slightly sweet and strong with ripe fruits. Very tasty and enjoyable.
