Feb 26, 2006 Bomber courtesy of and shared with gputty. Orange/brown pour with a beige head. Fruity esters and yeast in the nose, with some spiciness (cinnamon, nutmeg and coriander). The aroma is rather pungent, almost perfumelike. Slightly over carbonated for my taste. Flavor follows the strong nose, albeit weakly. Slight alcohol burn and a dry finish.

Dec 13, 2006 2003 75cl bottle. This amber ale poured with a decent off-white head, eliciting a strong fruity aroma. The flavor, too, is fruity with a caramel malt base and some spicy enhancements. There is an astringent alcohol finish.

Nov 30, 2003 2003 Vintage - Clear sparkling ruby body topped by a medium off-white head. Sweet and spicy aroma, bubblegum and dark fruit (plums?). The flavor is spicy and sweet, alot like the aroma. Body is medium and the alcohol is noticeable. Pretty decent beer.

Nov 28, 2008 Pours a translucent copper orange with a two finger creamy off white/tan head. The nose is fruity, earthy, Belgian/yeasty, rummy, light alcohol, some raisin. The flavor is a bit rummy, earthy, some yeast character, estery, warm alcohol, a bit spicy, some fruity character, leaves something wanting. . The palate has a full and lively carbonation and finishes warm.

Nov 22, 2006 Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours amber with a nice size fluffy off-white head. Aroma of belgian spices and yeast, fruit, citrus, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet, spices, fruit, slight bitterness in the finish. Great brew.

Oct 10, 2006 750mL bottle, no date--though I did purchase it late 2005 or early 2006. Pours a lightly hazy orange with reddish highlights and a two finger light yellowish head. Aroma is very fruity with peaches, figs, powdered sugar, toasty caramel malts, spicy estery yeast, light leather. Taste is bigger leather and a little char/peated malt--kinda strange, but not bad. Still quite fruity, alcohol is noticeable and warming, though not really distracting. As it warms I also got a little nose of freshly baked sugar cookies, didn’t really get it in taste. Full bodied, highly carbonated. This is definitely better than Nocturnum, but can’t remember if I like it more than Tremens.
