An average brown color, descent arrangement of flavors accented with a breeze of yeast. just another belgian as far as im concerned. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2002 Aroma is reminiscent of a Belgian wheat. Wonderful reddish hue with yellow highlights. Frothy, thick, off-white head that is mostly lasting. 10% alcohol is very noticeable. Also, quite sweet. This brew is hard to drink with all that alcohol. Why they package it in a 18.5 oz bottle, I have no idea. My friend and I split the bottle and both poured most of it out. Not that it was bad, but with a long night ahead, and the tasting accomplished, I didn’t want to put myself into a state of delirium! A brew to be sipped, and perhaps shared. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

Nice aroma of port, sugar some spices and apple. Big head on a darker amber body with nice lacing. Being served in its proper glass probably helps. Nice and smooth with noticeable spice and fruit in the front but ends slightly alcoholic with a bit. SudsMcDuff (1695), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Clear amber color. Nose is prunes and alcohol. Starts sweet becomes spicy, prickly finish. Alcohol aftertaste. $8.99 for 750ml bottle from Tulley’s Beer and Wine Wells, Me. theisti (1680), Leawood, Kansas, USA

This bottle was from March, 2006. Pour is brown-copper-ruby-orange with a one 1/2 inch tan head. Aroma of Belgian yeastiness and holiday spices. Taste mirrors the nose quite closely, though is far more carbonated than it appeared. Carbonation made this very soft, and really nice with the roast dinner. I really enjoyed this one.
