Dec 7, 2002 Draught. A nice dark orange color with a full, off-white head. The aroma is of sweet fruits and a touch of yeast. The flavors are well blended. Soft fruits, spices, yeast. The alcohol is present, but in the background. A tasty and dangerous beer.

May 19, 2009 11.2 oz bottle. Dark brown with some orange at the edges. Lacy white head. Malty nose with toffee, raisin, bubblegum and yeast. Medium body with prominent sharp carb. Taste is raisin and brown sugar but nowhere near as sweet as expected. Bitter finish with green banana.

Dec 25, 2005 750ml bottle. Merry Xmas! Pours an amber color with a foamy off white head. Nose is sweet candies, lightly malty. Taste is sweet sugary, light candies, some brown sugar, caramel sweet malt. Finishes lightly bitter with and leaves a nice velvet layer in the mouth.

Mar 12, 2006 Pours a beautiful clear amber brown sunset with medium size froth that is short lived. Ample residual effers. Bananna malted nose. medium palate of dry, woodsy tobacco, earth, dried citrus rinds and smoke. Becomes more fruity as it warms. Drinks better warm.

Jan 14, 2009 Pours a reddish brown with a thick off white head and lots of sediment. Taste is thick and malty with lots of Belgian yeast, dark fruit, spices and great Belgian carbonation. Nice yeasty malt cinnamon spice dark fruit aroma. Elegant Christmas beer with very little hint of the 10 percent abv.

Nov 15, 2006 2005 750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden brown color with a thick frosty beige head. Aroma is tangy lemon with yeasty hops, sourdough bread and brown sugar. Taste is acidic citrusy with hints of caramel,brown sugar,lemon,dough bread,sour cherries and even bubble gum. Very nice and slightly different than your typical belgium style.

Apr 22, 2006 2004. Amber/brown. Well formed, off white head. Beware the wrath of chunky. Nose: toasty caramel, rich malt, funky yeast, past ripe fruit, and subtle spice. Same flavors plus a bit of berry and nice hops. Full, balanced body. Excellent.

Aug 26, 2009 Sweet, spicy, and delicious. One of the best Christmas beers out there by a great brewery.
