Sour aroma; lemon mixed with noble hops that predicts a dry drink. Pours a clear dark amber, effervescent wit a lasting white foam. Sweet and sour beer: smooth, sweet, nutty, toasty grainbill with lemony noble hops. The sourness is in harmony with the sweetness and gentle bittering. Full body, high carbonation, warming. drowland (1410), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Caramel soaked dough, like bread pudding, but instead of burboun I get a maltier alcohol with a background of nutmeg and other spices. Solid and full. brewblackhole (1380), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA

Not sure if they changed it this year or if this is a Japan thing? Attractively deep ruby-red, big head, nice looking. Floral, crisp and firm aroma. Nice malt profile; bread, strawberry, deeply malty. Excellent thick finish, "I can’t believe it’s 10%". Well done! Allen (1373), Switzerland

The nose is of cherries, coriander and some vinous notes. Slightly bready aroma too. The taste is overly sweet, cloying and woody. Cherries and coriander again in the flavors. Full bodied. Slightly peppery. Grassy and buttery. Lots of bubblegum int the taste too... Quite an alcoholic punch before a warming dry bitter finish with a hint of licorice and woody elements. A bit too violent for my liking. diabel (1372), Aarschot, Belgium

Aroma of some kind of cleaning-product, I think "Mr. Propre Wood-fresh". Lightly sweet, lightly bitter initial flavour. Lightly sweet finish. Good flavour, but nasty aroma. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 12, 2009 Color is a golden orange with sediment floating around. Carbonation is low producing a very thin head. Aroma of toasted caramel with back tones of fruit. Taste is sweet and fruity. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth with just a faint crispness. Finish comes in sweet with dried fruit a hint of banana and a touch of citrus. In the after taste a nice yeast flavor comes in followed by a bit of alcohol. Overall its a nice Winter brew with good Belgian yeast fruit flavors.
