Aug 19, 2007 The only thing X-Mas is good for is X-Mas beer. This sweet, malty, spiced beer is one of the best. Perfect when you live up north and don’t celebrate the Christian feast, but want to dig the beers.

Mar 11, 2004 Translusent, bronze with a moderate white head. Aroma of cherry and alcohol. Flavor is sweet and fruity(did I mention cherries) and dry. There is no syrupy stickness here, but it does have an average body for the style. I guess I was expecting lots of Dark Belgian candi sugar and yeast(there was some yeast favors too), this was a pleasant surprise.

Dec 6, 2004 malty aroma with mainly fruit notes. which was mainly banana with a slight hint of alcohol. flavour was mostly malts bread-fruit-alcohol. A nice warm feel to it. Poured a brown color with a small off-white head which faded down to a barley nothing. good.

Jan 13, 2006 Had thi BJ’s Winter Ale Fest. Beer poured a clear, medium-amber color with a small, creamy, light brown, mostly diminishing head. As an extra bonus ... protein sea monkeys! It’s a beer ... no it’s a misplaced sperm donation! The aroma was less-than-moderately interesting and faint with light malty a note of roasted grain, moderate yeast notes of cellar and horseblanket and miscellaneous aromas of vanilla, candy sugar, prnue and a trace of mint. The flavor is heavily sweet and lightly bitter with a long, lightly sweet, lightly bitter finish full of dried stone fruit retronasal notes. The body was medium-to-full, the texture was watery, the carbonation was soft and the high ABV took a short bow at the end of the finish.

Jan 7, 2005 Pours a somewhat cloudy coppery color with a thin layer of tan foam.Lotsa’ lacing on this glass.Nose is a smashing complex blend of overipe bananas,and more tropical fruit you might find in a Middle Eastern market ,aromatic spices and that lovely Belgian yeast.Taste is just as complex.I tossed my cork out and do not have the year on this but I have had a 2002 and it was a little tastier,not by much.This is like some funked out dessert in a Turkish restaurant.Lovely spices and dark fruit and those bananas.
