Red color, vigorous carbonation. Small, off-white head. Bubblegum, cherry, brown sugar, rose, lemon/citrus in both the aroma and taste. Sweet and tart. Enjoyable. Thanks Frizzzzle.

Very good and better than Nocturnum IMO. Not the best winter seasonal, but a damn good one to try.

11.2 oz bottle. nose is cherry, spice, and candy canes (those colored ones that taste fruity) . Taste was same but a bit over the top.. I wasn’t impressed. This could be biased bc it was comsumed out of a solo cup in between drinking a different strong ale.

Dark garnet, big foamy head and a bunch of lace. Nose is of cloves and bananas. Smooth and lightly oily. Nice and spicy and slightly citric. A tad too sweet but no major complaints.

750 ml. white painted bottle. 15/03 date seen on cork. Must be the 2003 batch. Corked & caged, with a stupid red foil covering over the cork & cage. Poured out a deep amber color, with a fast fading, frothy white head. It did leave a decent lacing in my Chimay chalice, however. Aromas are of Belgian candi sugar, bready yeast, and slight fruitiness. Malt aroma is subdued, as well as the hops. Very sweet on the palate, no spiciness whatsoever. Finished too sweet for my liking. I thought this beer would have been much better than it was.

Bottle courtesy of my wife. She couldn’t resist the bottle with the "cute" pink elephants. Pours into my Delirium goblet with a nice hazy brownish color with a red tinge and a foamy off white head. Aroma is belgian yests, candi sugar, fruits, spices. Flavor is yeast, fruits, candi sugars, spices a little bitterness. I enjoyed this one quite a bit.

1/5/09 notes: on tap, Wurstkuche. Pours dark red-brown with a medium sized head. Aroma of soft malt, spices and dark fruit. Flavor starts soft, then reveals spicy, woody notes supported by a smooth mouthfeel. Overall, great palate, decent flavor, but lacks the extra something that is a pre-requisite for superior Belgians.
