On tap at BW3. Light orangy copper to amber with thin dense white to beige head. Apple cider astringency, slight cinnamon malty sweetness. Full creamy mouthfeel with nice viscosity, not too carbonated, a little sticky. Flavors in line with aroma, though fuller. big sweet lght to caramel malts, apple cider tart, cinnamon, fruity finish and tart aftertaste, balanced and tasty.

Dense aromas of yeast, orange peel, dark fruit and candy sugar. Deep copper in color with a large bead head that eventually disappears entirely. Palate is wet, with some malt darkening the finish. Caramel, cedar, and candy sugar flavors dampen the alcohol. A tough beer to get a grip on, it changes substantially from first opening to the last warm sip.

11.2 ounce bottle in Westmalle goblet. Hazy brown with lasting flat tan head. Brown sugar, anise, and raisin wine aroma with slight alcohol evap. Caramel and brown sugar sweetness, nice round fruitiness, raisins and ripe cherries, very mild tobacco and spice finish. Medium body and medium low carbo. This is a damn fine beer. I was somewhat skeptical, I admit. I think this is very tasty and pleasant and, of course, strong.

Dark amber-brown body with a nice beige lacing head. Fruity, exciting spicy aroma of dried fruits (raisins, plum), roasted malts. Thick body, smooth mouthfeel with caramel, sweet candy sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate, fine raisins and plum, some gingerbread taste. Complex for your freaky christmas...

OHHHH! MAN is that good! Not for the light of heart. I have to get one every Christmas. Great hop flavor. An absolutely beautiful belgian ale. One of the best!

This is a surprisingly good Belgian. On tap, hard to tell what color it was due to poor bar lighting. It was dark copper maybe. Has a great aroma of hops and yeast. First Belgian I’ve had that you can actually taste some hops. Quite tasty. Gets ya drunk...(RERATE) Had it again out of the bottle and it still rocks. This is like Belgian Strong meets IPA. I can’t get past this. ps. you get one hell of a buzz if you take on a 750ml of this.

not a huge belgian fan, but even as those go i don’t think this was quite as good as the others i’ve had. i’m not a huge fan of the fake ceramic look for the bottle either. anyways, i liked the texture, but the flavor just wasn’t cutting it

Bottle, 2/2. Does that heavy foam thing rising bottom to top when poured in the glass. It’s clear amber in color, slightly dark. The head is huge and last a long time. The aroma is strong barley malt, alcohol, and a little bit of cherry. The taste is cold and delicious like sweet malt with a tinge of cherry. It really is delicious. There is a little aftertaste that is slightly metallic, unfortunately.
