On tap, hard to tell what color it was due to poor bar lighting. It was dark copper maybe. Has a great aroma of hops and yeast. First Belgian I’ve had that you can actually taste some hops. Quite tasty. Gets ya drunk...(RERATE) Had it again out of the bottle and it still rocks. This is like Belgian Strong meets IPA. I can’t get past this. ps. you get one hell of a buzz if you take on a 750ml of this. Capa (993), Yokosuka, Japan

Hazy, brick red in color with a large, off-white head. Aroma is very nice. Sweet, spicey, caramel, fruit, coriander, and citrus. Medium body, watch out for the sediment. Malty, spices, yeast, fruits, and alcohol. Finishes with a nice bite, and noticeable alcohol. Exceptional. Arayaga2 (989), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 18, 2005 Bottled. Clear amber colour, big head. Aroma consists of spiciness, fruits, mainly strawberries and apples, and alcohol. Spicy, fruity and pretty alcoholic. Slightly sweet and caramelly. Ends bitter and lasts quite a while. A bit too heavy on alcohol for my taste, but actually very nice. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA

The color is a clear deep copper with just enough cream-colored foam to cover the surface of the beer. The head then recedes to just a ring, which produces moderate lacing. There is a medium maltiness in tha aroma, with some toffee and a definate strong alcohol scent.
The flavor is sweeter than the aroma suggests, with more toffee, dry stone fruit, and raisin. A mild spicy presence rounds out the finish, I’m guessing a combination of spices, hops, and the yeast produce the effect.. The body is medium, with very gentle carbonation. I would have liked more dark malt flavor. Alcohol is prominent in the aftertaste. Adenila (957), Denmark

Clear brown with a nice dense white head. Very nice vinouse sweet fruity aroma of plums and prunes. Intense flavor which triggers all your taste buds, soft silky mouthfull with a warm alchohol finish that tickles in your nostrils and lingers on in your throat. Can really feel the alchohol, but not taste it
