| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 10, 2003 2001 Bottle: Pours a dark amber color with a small, lingering tan head. Strong, bready aroma of malt, yeast, and spice with a touch of alcohol in the background. Full bodied with low carbonation, the flavor is very malty sweet with some spiciness and yeast tones. The finish is lingering and sweet. The alcohol is well hidden, except for a slight warming quality in the gut. Excellent. corby112 (766), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of yeast with some spices, all of which are very light. Hits the mouth with a medium body, alot of sweetness from fruit on the tongue, finish with a note of alcohol and collapses. I kinda like it, it’s right down the middle on this one for me. Hank1980 (765), Athens, Georgia, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 25, 2009 Bottle as shown. Pours a clear amber with a small off white head that diminishes quickly leaving sticky lacing and a lot of carbonation. The aroma is a sweet fruit with plum and light spice. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet fruit malt with brown sugar and light caramel hiding the alcohol very well making it easy to drink. Enjoyed this one on Christmas 09’ beerslayer (753), New Jersey, USA
