Awesome ruby-amber red color, big off-white, slight yellow head. Good lacing. Maybe the finest bubbles arising from the bottom that I have seen. Smells like a strawberry twizzler, medium sweet, slightly plasticy, some cherry-yeast aroma, light clove and light, rounded hops??? Well anyways, it tastes amazing. Everyone else says Sweet, sweet and more sweet. Hmmm, it’s sweet, but I usually hate extra sweet beers, but I’m likin this, really much so. Spices, but the good kind, cinnamon, allspice. Good yeast flavors, nice finish and aftertaste includes some hops. It’s like an American-belgian!! I love it but I’m ashamed that I love it!!! Damn I’m so domestic!!!! (ps. I cant find the alcohol in this!!) gnoff (3574), Göteborg, Sweden

Red/brown color with a creamy head. Typical Belgian strong beer scent and flavour. Not really a Christmas beer though, since I didn’t find it very spicy at all. Not too much different from their Nocturnum as I can recall it. Dickinsonbeer (3496), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 2, 2003 Peach/amber color with a small head and nice lace. Aroma is more fruity than spicy in aroma, whereas the tremens is the other way around I think. Also had some wine-like characteristics. It is very hard to notice any alcohol aside for some in the smell- especially since it is 10%. Got much more complex- with some malty flavors and slightly fruiter as it warmed. I liked this one much better then tremens(which I thought was too hot and spicy with too much carbonation)- Noel is just right- well done. FatPhil (3483), Espoo, Finland

Deep red, thin head. Apple and spicy pie aroma. Slightly gluey taste, and obviously packing a punch. Decent hoppiness, but cannot punch through the alcohol and glue. However, it is still very tempting. Very strong pear esters towards the end. Prefer the ordinary Tremens.
Rerate, one-year-old bottle (previous rating: 7 4 6 3 13)
Nice fruity aroma. Winey aroma when poured, later spicy and a bit pie-ey, even cakelike, also. Smooth palate. Sweet toffee. Cakey, spicy, and fruity, with a hint of almond and woodiness in the finish. Quite a hoppy finish, actually..

Swwetish and fruity aroma with notes of solvent.
A bit dry with some sweetness. Really fruity and malty with a bit too much alko-feel. rlgk (3378), Vårgårda, Sweden
