Tap->fluted water glass: pours a thin, diminishing white head atop a cloudy amber body. Aroma of hard Christmas candy. Sweet taste, medium body with a bitter finarming very warming brew.

I had the last bottle in a Belgian place up here. The nose had some fruit and spice in it, and the flavor was full of something in between grapefruit and sour grapes. It also had plenty of spice, with a body not unlike an oktoberfest. I couldn’t detect the alcohol in it at all, it was quite wonderful.

2005 corked and caged. Semi hazy, particulate suspended burnt orange. Nose is fantastic deep fruity, with no traces of alcohol. Flavors of light smoke, anise, oak, vanilla, and a plethera of other flavors. Truly a great brew.

Initital metallic taste followed by a high-quality spicy ale like only the Belgians can do. Nice alcohol burn for those who dig it. This stuff is on par with Bernardus 8.

Had a fruity aroma with a hint of malt. Poured nice, cleansed the palate and went very well with a slice of Applewood Smoked Gruyere cheese. Great beer to enjoy on a cold winter night.

2005, corked bottle. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a nice tan head. It has alcohol, caramel, and spices in the aroma. Tastes sweet with a hint of orange with a slight alcohol aftertaste.

Great aroma and a nice pour with a small head. A nice milky appearance. The flavor is malty with a nice smooth finish. A very enjoyable Belgian seasonal!
