Dec 23, 2006 Another outstanding Belgium beer. From a bottle with my boss. Aroma is spiced banana bread, as is the taste. A bot of malt, novices might say that it was too sweet, but I loved it. Citruses, low carbonation, and some cinnamon and clove spice. Great. Thanks Dad for bringing this down from Cleveland.

Feb 16, 2008 Nov. 2006 - Dark amber brown color with moderate head and lacing. Caramel, smoky aroma. Flavor much of the same. Heavy smoke, banana, caramel, dark fruit and spices. Nice.

Dec 11, 2005 Medium head on pours but goes thin quickly. Very bubbly. Yeasty malt aroma and caramel coloring. Spice is at front with caramel malt in back of it mixing with a cheese yeast in a lovely balance. Very unassuming 10% alcohol is very well hidden. Slight warmth at finish.

Dec 27, 2007 Medium amber with offwhite head. Nose of apple cider, fruity and cakey, with some faint yeast and spice in the background. Flavor is again apple cider with other fruit, apple cake, and mild spice. Perfectly tart, with nice carbonation and a pleasantly sweet aftertaste. Quite enjoyable.

Feb 2, 2009 Had a fruity aroma with a hint of malt. Poured nice, cleansed the palate and went very well with a slice of Applewood Smoked Gruyere cheese. Great beer to enjoy on a cold winter night.

Jan 22, 2006 2005, corked bottle. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a nice tan head. It has alcohol, caramel, and spices in the aroma. Tastes sweet with a hint of orange with a slight alcohol aftertaste.

Dec 20, 2006 Featured at "steal the glass" night at Capital ale house in Innsbrooke. Nice reddish brown body with a small white head. Aroma of citrus and apple juice, somewhat like wine. Slightly sweet, faint detection of alcohol. Warms as it goes down, all you need is one sip to be sure that this one will get the job done. A pleasant surprise to say the least. I would definitely get this one again next winter.

Dec 22, 2007 Great aroma and a nice pour with a small head. A nice milky appearance. The flavor is malty with a nice smooth finish. A very enjoyable Belgian seasonal!
