Aroma of caramel, roasted almond, birch wood, vanilla, toasted malts and honey. Medium bodied. Nice, tight mouthfeel with a very subtle, lovely warming. Finishes slow and wonderfully. Outstanding Christmas brew from Huyghe. Very cool bottle as well. Highly recommended for the holidays. sdriessen (208), Dunedin, New Zealand

Intense raisin and prune nose with a chocolate malt base. brown sugar, resiny hops. Earthy notes - wood and a bready yeast. Some alcohol in the aromas, along with cinnamon make this one quite like a fruitcake.
The flavours are quite spicy. I find maple syrup, raisins, lots of toffee and caramel.
Apple and cherry fruits, with raisin, prune and bready yeast. Candy sugar sweetness.
Spice and alcohol penetrate every part of the nose, very nice.
Quite medium bodied and the finish is mellow, long-lasting and relatively dry. RKanis (30), Cincinnati, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 27, 2007 750mL bottle. Poured into Delirium Noel branded tulip glass, even!
A pleasant opaque orange-amber appearance with noticable sediment, although very smooth once in the mouth. Three finger head with only slight lacing. The alcohol was definately noticable in the aroma and flavor, but the spices and fruity hints offset any harshness fairly well. Flavor spiced up noticably as the beer warmed. johndavidj99 (123), Township, Maine, USA

Aroma of caramel, Belgian sugar, dark fruits and spice. Taste of dark fruits, Belgian and brown sugars, yeast and some zesty spices. I liked this one more than Tremens and would buy it again. texasbartender (160), Sugarland, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | May 4, 2008 The beer pours a red amber with a thin but long lasting light brown head. The beer is very hazy and lightly filtered, there are very large chunks of stuff floating in the beer, which just adds to it’s drinkability. The beer is a complex mix of fruit, spice yeast and a hint of wood. The fruity note come out as a mix of dark fruit, cranberries, plums and oranges. v8powered (61), , Nevada, USA

Slight carmel flavor and has a balance of sweetness with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Great flavor that I look forward to each Christmas. Great beer!!
