Pours with a great creamy head with good retention. Taste is so full and malty, the mouthfeel ends up being more important than the actual taste. Slightly sweet with some esters (plum?), with a roasty bitterness in the finish. Great beer.

Keith-Typical Delirium taste for the most part. Stong aroma, but nothing special. Typical christmas additives like fig, nutmeg, and spice. Tasty and worth a try. Eric-Man, i had a friend bring a bottle from 2001 over the other night-what a treat! pours deep mahogony amber with a very light sudsy white head. much less carbonation than i was expecting. aroma of vineous cherries, light dusty esters, light funk, candy sugar, dark belgian malts0lots of dark fruit here! Wow! flavors of sugar coated cherries, big belgian malts and some nice brown spices. This aged so nicely. not any oxidized flavors, just a more round feel to it all. Alcohol is much lighter than when fresh. Man, this is a treat!

Pours with little head on a burnt orange body; yeasty, toasty aroma,; nuances of tropical fruit; alcohol apparent; thin to medium body; yeast and sugar on the palate with hints of fruit on the finish; fairly substantial hop and alcohol prescence. Expecting spiced ale but got barley wine. Nevertheless, well balanced and enjoyable. P.S. If you find yourself overwhelmed by 10% to a 750ml, drink slower, but NEVER pour it out!!!

(2002 vintage) Dark mahogny body with a persistent thin, white head. Smells of banana/clove, malt and candy dominate the aroma. Flavors of malt, banana, raisins, candy sugar and hops explodes on the tongue. Very complex beer. Slightly carbonated and smooth. Don’t really notice the hops until they have rolled off the back of the tongue a few times. Alcohol is masked and this is a dangerous but tasty beer. Will drink again.

Thin foam head with just a little carbonation. I expected much more head and effervescence from this brew. Caramel, apricots and a bit of spices round out a great aroma. Murky orange/mahagony in color. Damn this has a nice aroma. Flavor ain’t to bad either. Slightly fizzy in the mouth. More apricots and dried fruit. Spicey and yeasty with a nice alcohol kick and warms nicly as it goes down. Very slight sour finish and is thick and coating. A very good belgian. Dang, this brew tastes good. Maybe it is because I just spent the last week in Puerto Rico where they have absolute $hit for beer. Ahhhh, it is good to be home.

Pours mahogany with a thin white foamy head with some spotty. Doughy nose, some malts, a bit of yeast blend together nicely. Some hints of fruit in there, a bit of coriander. Lots of spice in the flavor, coriander mostly, a hint of the yeast/dough in there as well. Full bodied, finishing off with a bit of hops. Nice seasonal Belgian.

Smells, looks and tastes like congnac with Belgian beer peach-like fruitiness. A very pleasant suprise.

Pours orange brown with a quickly dissolving bubbly head. Aroma of sweet malt, bread and cherries. Taste is sweet sugary, light candies, some brown sugar, caramel sweet malt
