Sweet burnt sugar and raisiny/dried fruit aroma with a taste that follows suit and a malty finish barenada (211), Georgetown, Indiana, USA

A very nice completion to the Delirium triad. Not as much spice as I was perhaps expecting, but very drinkable. More similar to Delirium Nocturnum than to Tremens. Pours a hazy brownish amber with a small off white nicely lacing head. Aroma of spicy belgian yeast, dark fruits, citrus, apples, cherries and caramel. Flavor of sweet apples, caramel and a few of the other things I was picking up in the aroma. A nice Belgian Strong Ale for sure. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA

The color is a clear deep copper with just enough cream-colored foam to cover the surface of the beer. The head then recedes to just a ring, which produces moderate lacing. There is a medium maltiness in tha aroma, with some toffee and a definate strong alcohol scent.
The flavor is sweeter than the aroma suggests, with more toffee, dry stone fruit, and raisin. A mild spicy presence rounds out the finish, I’m guessing a combination of spices, hops, and the yeast produce the effect.. The body is medium, with very gentle carbonation. I would have liked more dark malt flavor. Alcohol is prominent in the aftertaste. Geuzelambix (119), København, Denmark

Easily the best holiday beer seeing that they’re not concerned with how many spices they can cram in there. If I want nutmeg, I’ll drink egg nog. if I want a solid, matly, holiday belgian ale, then I’ll drink this stuff. radagast83 (1317), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

Since it had been a while since I had had Tremens or Nocturnum I really can’t tell you if they were similar in taste, but it sure did remind me a bunch of memories of having them. Great holiday beer, very spicy, and had less of an alcoholic taste then I would have expected considering the high alcohol content.
