Deep copper with a moderately sized white creamy head. The aroma is heavy on sugar and spices (nutmeg and maybe cinnamon). Notes of candied fruits as well.
Mouthfeel is good, fairly syrupy but nicely yeasty at the end. A clean, surprisingly dry finish.
As GAManiac pointed out, the taste doesnt diverge much from the aroma. Nothing wrong with this.
Really nice holiday beer. valpoaj (363), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA

Nice, intriguing aroma is somewhat spicy with light fruit accents. Flavor is unique...and that makes it hard to compare. Definite hints of apples and raisins, and the alcohol is somewhat evident late on the palate. Palate is somewhat high on the carbonation side, but this beer was one of the more original I’ve had in some time, and quite good on that note! I would definitely seek this one out again! Pretty sweet label to boot... Jake Barnes (456), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

A cider like aroma and flavor with just a bit of yeast. The high alcohol content is quite well hidden. A great seasonal beer. tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA

Fruity aroma of pears and tropical fruits, small bubbly head, bready, spicy fruity apple flavors, soft and full palate, nice lasting finish, very well hidden alcohol at 10%, warming feel, a great winter ale. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2002 Aroma is reminiscent of a Belgian wheat. Wonderful reddish hue with yellow highlights. Frothy, thick, off-white head that is mostly lasting. 10% alcohol is very noticeable. Also, quite sweet. This brew is hard to drink with all that alcohol. Why they package it in a 18.5 oz bottle, I have no idea. My friend and I split the bottle and both poured most of it out. Not that it was bad, but with a long night ahead, and the tasting accomplished, I didn’t want to put myself into a state of delirium! A brew to be sipped, and perhaps shared.
