Taste is classic belgian yeast and malt, a nice xmas cake style spiciness and sweetness, with a warming alcohol finish. Very enjoyable, and the spice is pleasant. It has a clear amber red ale appearance. The big winter boozy malty flavor is delicious in the Belgian traditional flavor. stankenk (130), Maplewood, Minnesota, USA

A bit spicier than the Tremmens, with that same clean finish. Ida7999 (105), Milford, Massachusetts, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 25, 2006 I had the last bottle in a Belgian place up here. The nose had some fruit and spice in it, and the flavor was full of something in between grapefruit and sour grapes. It also had plenty of spice, with a body not unlike an oktoberfest. I couldn’t detect the alcohol in it at all, it was quite wonderful. Butters (1653), Virginia, USA
