Has an after taste like honey and brown sugar together. There is a lot more going on here, but I can’t describe it. Prune, candi sugar, malt, apple, and spice come together perfectly. This is very, very good. bobaidan (370), Farmington, Connecticut, USA

Mouth feel is thick, with just enough carbonation to prevent stickiness. Flavor is robust and sweet with lots of dark fruit flavors, some spice and just a hint of alcohol. This is a remarkable beer. Delicious aromas of barley candy, candied orange peel, and lots of spice. Sweet and warm palate, lots of toffee and fruity yeast, brandy, ginger, mace... lots of great stuff! A very satisfying beer. eaglefan538 (2403), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 9, 2006 Aged sample on draught at the Half Moon in Kennett. Poured a dark brownish color, tripel fermented, they said. Nice initial head that subsided and provided ok but not outstanding lacing. Aroma was spicey and of dark fruits and caramel. Flavor was much of the same, mouthfeel nice and creamy. A very enjoyable beer with a touch of bitterness to finish. sinkr (241), Lusby, Maryland, USA

The nose had some fruit and spice in it, and the flavor was full of something in between grapefruit and sour grapes. It also had plenty of spice, with a body not unlike an oktoberfest. I couldn’t detect the alcohol in it at all, it was quite wonderful. Butters (1654), Virginia, USA
