Panzerfaust (377), Santiago, Chile Sep 8, 2006 On Tap in Patio Bellavista Shows a muddy dark brown color. Head is big, light brown and unstable. It lasts for a little and leaves a fair lacing.
Aroma is roasty with lots of dark malt. It shows notes of dark fruits like prunes, plums, figs and a little hint of sweetened coffee. Some smoke is barely noticeable. This is a nice surprise.
Flavor has a little muted chocolate bitterness with a initial butterscotch sweetness. Interesting at first but it’s rather simple for a stout. A little watery also.
Damn, palate is the weakest point. Very, very light for a stout. Watery texture, thin body. Carbonation is soft, thank god. The finish is weak beign not dry enough. It leaves a decent roasty aftertaste though. Very decent chilean brew overall. Lilith (242), Santiago, Chile Jun 26, 2006 Tap Nice black colored, flat with no bubbles. Small but frothy off-white head that leaves an excellent lacing and film. Its aroma is pleasant but weak: it’s mostly sweet of caramel, coffee, tropical fruits, slightly hoppy with hints of cereals. The taste is sweet with a strong presence of anise liquor. Mild palate, very watery and light bodied, however, easy to drink.
