Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Pours a hazy golden into the glass with a white head. This beer was much lighter in color than i was expecting. Lots of yeast on the nose with some orange peel too. Taste is similar. I also found that when it warms a bit (above 40 degrees) its quite pleasant. However, the finish on this brew is what I’m not too fond of. It has a very sharp bite to the finish with the 8.5% alcohol really shining through. Still a good brew though, very interesting for sure.

Date notched as March 2008 production. Pour into tulip from 25.4 oz bottle. Golden color with yeast elements afloat. Mostly clear with sizeable initial head mostly diminishing with moderate lacing remaining. Malty sweetness on the nose with citrus notes. I’d agree with the mild and sweet touch to this beer. Alcohol mostly hidden (more noticeable on front end than the back) with slight bitter finish. A very enjoyable brew - cheers to the Belgians!

Got some wierd, floating sediment but looks fine for the rest. Transparent blond with a weak head. Smells summery sweet, blackberries, with hints of bread and dry fruit. Watery sweet-sour palate with a blackberry palate with hints of ripe peaches or dried fruit.

Poured a slightly hazy yellow. Pick puffy white head. Head retained much longer than expected. Not too noticeable of lacing. Had a faint smell of a fruit salad, some yeast, a little hops. Took two drinks and poured it out. I’d rather suck on my mom’s 70 year old boobs than drink the Tremens again. Very sour taste. Tasted very similar to green apple peel. I am allergic to apples, so as you can imagine it didnt agree with me.

Pours an enormous, frothy, white head that takes time to go down. has a fruity aroma and a mild taste. Is not bitter and goes down smoothly with no aftertaste. High priced here in America, but a good brew.

SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED!!! This has had great ratings, so I was expecting a quality brew. It looks good, smells fine but (this bottle at least) has a distinct sour note which increases the further down the glass I go, really unpleasant, I poured the rest away.

pours a deep orange. large head. Cloves, sugar, yeasty nose. Some citrus and floral hops. Flavor is clove-y, belgian yeast. Some candy sugar. Burnt sugar. Dry finish.
