Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED!!! This has had great ratings, so I was expecting a quality brew. It looks good, smells fine but (this bottle at least) has a distinct sour note which increases the further down the glass I go, really unpleasant, I poured the rest away.

pours a deep orange. large head. Cloves, sugar, yeasty nose. Some citrus and floral hops. Flavor is clove-y, belgian yeast. Some candy sugar. Burnt sugar. Dry finish.

330ml bottle. Golden in colour with huge bubbles of foam that form a large voluminous fluffy head. Clear with a citrus, fruit and floral aroma that drifts into the nose. Fruity taste initially and then the alcohol takes over. Long aftertaste and smooth and warm in the back of your throat.

Pale blond colour with tight foam head. Some sweet candied apple in the aroma. Flavour is fresh and tangy with an underlying sweetness. Aftertaste is nice and dry. A very moorish beer with a warming alcohol afterglow.

Pours a hazy orange/yellow with a two fingered white head that retains very nicely. Citric, yeasty aroma with some soft fruits, and bubblegum. Tastes very bright and complex. Soft fruit, citrus, licorice, bubblegum, juicy fruit gum, yeast, spice and a little alcohol. Mouth feel is very full and nice, typical of the style. Easy rolling bitterness from the hops. Very nice beer, but not blowing me away.

Pours a clear golden color with a very strong white head. Aroma has a light noble hoppiness with a pretty sweet sugariness to it and light pils malt.presence. Flavor is very sweet with a light noble hops flavor up front and finishes with a light apple and citrus flavor. The beer has a good density to it and a great moderate carbonation rate. Overall a very good beer and one that is always a good choice for an evening.

This is the greatest belgium beer I’ve ever tasted. Its got a great taste. Not too overpowering. Has a great light color. I would definitly drink this one any day of the week, or any day of the year.

Golden yellow with a tall white head. Spicy aroma notes of citrus, yeast, and spices. The flavour is sharp and alcoholic, very spicy, with a lot of citrus on the palate. Good beer.
