Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

My 200th beer at Flying Saucer in Nashville. Pours golden with a dissipating white head. Sugary and apple aroma. Medium bodied with a syrupy texture. Flavor of apple, pear, spice, and yeast with a respectable amount of residual sweetness. Not bad

Ah, the things I haven’t rated... This takes me back. On tap, pours a clear golden color with no head. Yeasty aroma, some light fruits. Banana, yeast, sweet malt, tangy citrus taste. Alcoholic finish. We’ve all been here before.

Pours hazy gold with a big, fizzy head. Smells spicy, fruity, with a little yeast in the background. Tastes spicy but not sharp--very smooth. I like the little bite at the end. Doesn’t feel like much in the mouth. A fine brew.

Bottle. Pours yellow with a thick, bubbly white head. Spicy, yeasty bubblegum sweetness in the nose. Taste is similar, but heavier on bready malts. Nice full mouthfeel.

on tap, served in proper glassware! Sweet and fruity, almost syrupy (full body) with clove character (from the yeast?) and some some solid honey flavor in there that became pretty prominent as i was about half-way through my glass.

Fruity flavor hits you at first - good texture and after taste. Makes you warm and happy - very good beer

On Tap. Light hazy golden color with light head. Fruity aroma with flavors of apricots ending with an alcohollic finish.

On tap at British Beer Company. Not the best but a good example of a Belgian style ale. Yeasty and citrusy. Good flavor. Only drawback is that it did seem to carry a stonger than expected alcohol taste.
