Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Pour is a gold with carbonation that keep a small head aloft. Smells like spicy, fruity, wonderful yeast. Taste is much of the same. Very light for 8.5% abv. An easy drinking Belgian. My kind of brew.

Wonderful aroma, full or cirtus and some spice, maybe coriander? Plenty of carbonation, maybe a bit too much. Holding it up to the light reveals streams of flecks and such. Flavor starts out with citrus, then quickly moves onto full spiciness. Nice and creamy, but lively palate, very pleasant. Mmm Mmm good.

11.2 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a hazy peach color with lots of white particles swirling about. Large head with good head retention and lacing. Slight tart champagne like aroma with some pear and pineapple notes. Taste is also champagne like with some caramel and candi sugar notes added in. Medium bodied.

Big thick white head. Yellow appearance, very carbonated , unfiltered yeast is very apparent. Yeasty smell like bread. Lots of Citrus and Grapefruit. Very smooth at first and then an overwhelming sourness hits your palate. Really a good beer. I like the fruity smell and taste but could have done without all of the sour. Overall though I really enjoyed this.

Great beer for those new to the beer club. Very smooth, fruity, and no bitter after taste in my opinion. Reminds me of a wine actually. Like a wine the flavor really shines when paired with food-even if its something simple like a quality cheese.

Bottle. Pours clear gold with lots of white head. Aroma is fruit: apples, and bananas. Some spice. Light on the palate. Flavor is light and fruity. Similar to Duvel but more flavor in my opinion. Finishes clean. Solid brew.

Neon orange with big white head. Aroma of lemon, orange and alcohol. Big taste, full mouth, malt and citrus, with a peppery bitter finish.
