Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Pale yellow appearance with small white head. Fruity aroma. Sweet start with peaches leading to butterscotch and cherries with a dry and slightly bitter finish. Light mouthfeel. Decent.

Aroma is nice, but its appearance is a watery golden. Its flavor is slightly malty, but mainly yeasty. Its flavor is not thick or complex enough for my taste, and its palate - well, the same. Overall impression is that this beer is overrated and overpriced. Disappointing.

Bottle. Pours a crystal, golden color which clouds as the settled yeast is poured. Huge, billowy head. A fruity light aroma with hints of grape. A slight medicinal aroma is present. Flavor was good, strong, yeasty, fruity. Medium bodied and mildly refreshing, this was a solid beer which put me to sleep quickly. I think Thanksgiving dinner had a lot to do with it.

Pours a golden yellow [much like a Miller Lite but] with a good 2.5 finger head. Very active carbonation dances as the head slowly fade leaving behind a nice coating of sud. Smells of Belgium. No really I truly believe that either the yeast or water makes belgian beers have that very pleasant aroma. There is a nice yeasty fruit mixed in the nose. Apricot or even peach. This beer once created as a brewery gimmick for their Italian market. A much more noticeable fruit flavor than aroma. Spices bouncing happily with peach and pear flavors that seem to change and engage the drinker with each sip. A very light and pleasant mouthfeel. Drink up! this one is a keeper!

apple cider banana ester nose, pale gold unfiltered fog, frothy white head lots of lace, sweet pear and apple, bright fruit, alcohol present, wild esters all over the place, sort of an off flavor something metallic is in there somewhere - might be part of the alcohol’s flavor, beer candy for sure

330 mL bottle. Poured into Delirium tulip glass, which is the best beer glass on earth by the way. Pours a cloudy bright yellow with a massive white top. Aroma is spot on with lots of yeast, citrus, apricot, bubble gum, and spice. Taste is like a double witbier: tons of citrus, cloves, yeast, and sugar. Very malty but still well balanced. Slight warming alcohol but overall the 8.5% is perfectly hidden. This is one of my all time favorite beers. Aftertaste is a little sour but still good. The only downside to this beer is its outrageous price tag- but I’m going to ignore that for now.

bottle from lonestar in carrollton, tx. poured a hazy yellow with a thick white head with sediment floating around. lacing was excellent and it had a bubbly effervecent to it. aroma was banana, bubble gum, and clove. flavor was banana, clove, earthy spices, and some alcohol. palate was chunky and a little dry and had med body and carb. a very good BSA.
