Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

bubbly pale yellow, medium white head, big lacing. aroma of malty, musty, wet cardboard. flavor is musty. it is also creamy, grainy, hoppy with sour friut notes. spicy with a hint of banana. medium bodied, dry finish. pretty complex. not much of an alcohol hit. if i have to drink this much alcohol, i’d rather be hit with a hop bimb.

(Bottle). Tarty ripe fruit aroma. Hazy orange-gold body, white head. Tasty fruit flavor, mostly pineapple, some pear, with lots of carbonation and almost no bitterness. Quite decent.

Bought this because of the cool bottle. Nice bright taste, easy to drink, classic belgian flavor, just not enough of it. Not really watery, just subdued. Missing much of that banana baby food aroma I so look forward to in a belgium.

Bottle. Pours a vibrant golden-orange with a lively foam-white head. Aroma of citrus (favoring tangerine), biscuit, some grass, and hops. Flavor is relatively light, but very tasty. A blend of soft hops, citrus, yeast, and warming alcohol. I am immediately a fan of how refreshing this beer is given its alcohol, although the cloying finish is a bit unsettling. Finish also maintains a warming alcohol touch to it. Overall, I liked the palate, aroma, and appearance of Tremens, but its flavor was slightly underwhelming.

Pours glowing orange/amber with a tall white head. Big fruity estery nose, spicey with beautiful citrus notes. Dry and highly carbonated body really brings out the esters. Finish is dry and tart. Very well built.

Pours a hazy deep gold color with a foamy head that lasts a while. Aroma of light fruit, most notable being apples and pears. Also some sweet malt and a bit of spice. Flavor is slightly sour and fruity, with a touch of spice hops and alcohol on the finish. Not bad at all.

Slight must, but mostly sour nose. Light, golden straw color.golden, Head persist with prodigious lacing even with large bubbles. Brilliant balance slight bitter though lasting finish. Not at all sweet. A light and fabulous beer with a delicious hop0py (slight but good finish)

Pours a hazy orange color from the Yard House tap with a trim white head. Smells and tastes of orange peel, yeast, and a mixture of red and green apples. Seems more preoccupied with alcohol content rather than achieving a balanced flavor.
