Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Lightly hazed golden appearance with an average size white head and good lacing. Yeasty aroma overshadows soft fruit and licorice. Spicy flavors dominate before the dried fruit appears followed by a sweet aftertaste. Creamy, medium-bodied, very well carbonated mouthfeel with an unmasked alcohol punch. Sweet, lingeriing finish ending on a slight metallic note.

Slight flavors and aromas. Slightly spicy fruity and sweet. As the beer warmed more flavor and aroma comes out. NIce and very drinkable.

Yellow gold; small head. Slight grain and citrus aroma. Rich, full body, significant crbonation with flavors of citrus, honey, mild malts, slight banana, lemongrass and spice. Smooth and tasty overall. I’ve been drinking this for many years, on tap and in the big bottles it’s always a good choice.

On draft at the yard House in LV. Great Belgian Strong. Sweet and yeasty aroma, beautiful coppery appearance. Sweet fruit and roast malts are distinguishable in the palate. Finishes dry and smooth.

Bottle. Pours golden with a diminishing white head. Nice looking pour. Refreshing, but dry and bitter with some off fruity flavors. I didn’t care for the aroma of spicy cloves? Good body.

12 oz bottle. Golden color, a substantial head. Incredible aroma on this. Very fruity, yeasty. Flavor was a mingling of berry flavors and yeast, with a significant amount of carbonation. Delicious! Mouthfeel was a bit thick, but it suited the huge flavors nicely. I definitely plan on getting some more of this.

A very complex, highly carbonated beer. Very smooth for such a high alcohol content. Definetly don’t drink it on an emptly stomach or you might be seeing more than pink elephants. Not quite as good as its relative Delerium Nocturnum.
