Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

golden to a hint of copper with a pillowy head. Aromas of citrus and a touch of yeast/malt. Light /clean tasting with notes of orange, light spicing, and a overall pleasent sweetness. The malt/yeast brings a cookie/cracker taste in the back. Very nice beer. watch out for the alcohol content, it sneaks up on you. This should work very well with a sweet shellfish or roasted vegatables. Go get tapas tonight.

Pours a cloudy straw color. Aroma of yeasty citrus. Flavors are similar. Funky sourness, with a sweet pineapple like note to it. My bottle was opened immediately after a car ride, so the yeasty sediment was floating all through the beer. It kept the yeast character on the front, which was not a bad thing.

Light brown color, large head sticks around. Spicy and citrus flavor. Its good, but I’d take Duvel over this due to better flavor and a slightly smaller price tag.

On tap @The Bier Markt in namesake tulip. Dark golden under a big head. Aromas of fruits and spice. Yeasty and alcoholic with sweet tart flavours. Medium-bodied...nice Belgian character.

11.2 oz bottle. Sampled on the recommendation from a friend. The alcoholic heft of the beer is very deceptive, a sign that a great deal of care has been taken in crafting the brew. Slightly yeasty and lemony aroma. Pours a pale yellow with a rather thick, foamy head. Very smooth on the palate, with a faint citrus twist on the back end. The price was a little steep, so I won’t be drinking this often. But for the money you pay it’s a great beer.

11.2 fl. oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy banana yellow color with a foamy white head. Flavor: Lemon, corriander, and banana. (Very ironic, considering the color description.) This is one excellent beer.

Ceramic colored bottle . A dark yellow color with a thick head that ramains for a while. It has a spicy citrus aroma marked with the the distinct hint of coriander. A great tasting beer and very easy to drink for it’s 8.5 abv.
