Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Tap @ Teresa’s Wayne, PA. Clear (not hazy) golden, with 1/2" white head topping up the tulip glass. Not much smell for it was cold. Nice flavor of a Belgian tripel style with some apple & pear candy & caramelized sugar, also floral notes including honeysuckle. Very silky smooth, somewhat rich, well into medium bodied with a fullness of flavors. The sweetness wasn’t overdone. Some hop bitterness & flavor. Alcohol well integrated. This is a very nice quality Belgian ale but I don’t think it’s worth pursuing because of it’s high price.

Bottle, made out of a glassy type substance. Probably glass. Pours a golden colour, looks like a beer. Can’t smell owt as my nose is nailed. Tastes quite complex, highly carbonated, very nice indeed. I remember drinking this a while ago and not being impressed. My palate is a little more educated and I like this a lot more. Nice. And gets you twatted.

Pours orange gold w/ a decent head of tightly packed bubbles. Tons of floaty sediment which I hate. Smells of fresh malt and tangerine. Really complex flavor that’s hard to pin down but I know I like it. Tons of carbonation. I’ll drink it again but probably just with friends who haven’t tried it.

cloudy-hefe-weisses on apperance with small blond head. wild yeast/ naturally fermented? smells somewhat of sourmilk. sour malt with dry hop at end very intresting flavor profile, much better than when i first tasted 8 years ago(i know my palate expanded) but it is amazing how we change(palates included) with age. this is definately quality over quanity.

aorma was estery with some solf malt flavor, but dominated by esters. poured golden with a white head of fine bubbles. Flavor is fruity, with a sour note on the back of the tongue with leads to an apple note. good mouthfeel. easy drinking belgian ale.

Very appealing, dark-blond, white collar. Great, straight-forward taste. A tough of cereal and hay. Very good on a warm summer evening.
