Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Pours a typical straw yellow with a fairly thick white head - not promising, though it is quite bubbly. Fortunately, the appearance is this beer’s weakest point. The inviting aroma is malty and yeasty with a firm fruity undertone that is mainly citrus and has just a hint of banana. Flavor is a delight, malty and yeasty with strong fruity tones. Texture is wonderfully tingly, more like champagne than beer so it fairly dances on the tongue and on its way down the pipes. Strongly recommended.

Pours golden with a nice white head. Aroma is full of light tart fruit, along with a little spice. The flavor is full of banana, light fruits, and spice. Very good.

Golden blonde pour with a yeast chunk floating about and a thick fluffy white head. Bready earthy spicy belgian esther aroma. Big carbonation. Crisp sweet malt taste, earthy hops and a citrus fruity spiciness. Delicious.

One of the all time greats out there, if you can find it. If you can get it on tap, even better - enjoy.

Good looking golden brew with white head and major lacing. Aroma is fruity, maybe orange, almost tropical and a little spicy. Taste.. have never had this type of beer before, and I was fairly impressed. First impression was that it would be too hoppy for my leanings, but as the drink went on , I appreciated it more. Palate is perfectly smooth and none too carbonated A bit too pricey but otherwise good if not slightly heavy.

First off, this bottle simply looks insane and epic. Opaque ceramic looking with a crazy, colorful logo on the fron and pink elephants, Now, the beer itself was no let down. Poured medium brown, very carbonated. Bubbled the whole time I was drinking it. Aroma is ridiculous, hints of just about every fruit you could imagine. Taste was sublte and inviting, with a hearty finish. Truly a great, great beer.

This beer is a highly carbonated, highly unique anf delicious brew. I consider it my summer favorite, which can be bad since it is so high in alcohol (i believe 9 percent). Notes of caramel, citrus and a nose of yeasty goodness.

Draft @ the Alley Bar. Pour golden, yellow with white head. Aroma of yeast, spices, and citrus. Taste is highly carbonated. Strong alcohol taste in the finish. Decent.
