Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

A light slightly unclear beer with an OK head. It has the aroma of alcohol and fruit. It has a very filling taste and sweetness. Definatly a good beer.

(Bottle 33 cl) With it’s name, it’s pink elephants on the label and it’s imitated white "ceramics" bottle this beer always attracts some attention from the first-timer. Would be easy just to slash it for it’s corny and kitschy appearance but there’s a more than decent beer in here. Deep, hazy golden with a big, lacing head. Very malty sweetness, lots of body and potency. Yeasty notes are very prominent. Only a faint, late bitterness. 121196

33 cl bottle. Pours unclear pale yellew - clear remains of malt/hops floating around. White and quickly disappering head. Aroma is extremely fruity with primary notes of apple, citric/orange and grape. Taste is fresh fruity with a good touch of malt giving the beer a mild and sweet touch. Fruity to slight bitter finish.

Golden coloured. Fruity, alcoholic, very sweet but rather complex with some pineapple aroma. Just too much sugar in there though.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour with huge bubbly/foamy head. Sweet yeasty and malty/fruitish hints. Strong sweet wheat in flavour with malty hints. Also some notes of alcohol, but they fit the beer good. Sweet wheaty aftertaste. Oily palate.
